A private login for every teacher
Each subject teacher enters scores for their own subjects only. Nobody can edit another teacher's work by accident.
A web app that runs report cards, fees and family records for a secondary school, with a separate login for every teacher.
A secondary school in Ogun State was tracking test and exam scores in a spreadsheet I had built for it. There was no full-time clerk, and results, fees and family details lived in different places.
The school wanted one system that teachers, the Director and, later, parents could each use without seeing what they should not.
Each subject teacher enters scores for their own subjects only. Nobody can edit another teacher's work by accident.
When a class is complete, the Director approves it and the scores lock. Missing work is flagged on the dashboard before approval.
Cards print or save as PDF in the layout the school already used, so nothing changes for families.
Bills are set per class, part payments are recorded, and an uploaded bank statement is matched to students by the payer's remark.
Admission forms are imported from a spreadsheet, and each child has one profile page with parents and contact details.
Parents sign in with a phone number and see only their own child's report cards, fees and school notices.
A few rules came from the school, and I built them in. Student positions are never printed on report cards, because the school does not want learning framed as a competition. Fees and parents' phone numbers are visible only to the roles that need them. A student marked as left disappears from every live list but stays in the terms already approved.
